Welcome to the CG Chatter Podcast episode #7! (Or should I say…007?) In this episode I chat with the awesome Gordana Fersini, 3D Character Animator. Gordana has worked on a range of exciting and well-known titles including Ice Age 3, Horton Hears a Who, and the title sequence for TNT’s The Company. She digs into her process, her transition from economics into animation (similar to Mike Taylor’s switch in episode 2), and what it’s like working at a big studio as well as from home. Also she had some wise words on the unpredictable nature of life, which I think all the digital animators out there should enjoy: “You can control your keyframes, but not life.”
